Plain Route:
Open Terrain

An open plain stretches before you.
No walls. No barriers. No noise.

Your task is simple:
Guide travelers from point A to point B.

The board may look complete.
But only one pathway is true.

Honestly thought this would be super easy when I first saw it, but man was I wrong - gets way harder than you'd expect.

Use the fewest possible route segments.
Create the cleanest possible path.

A Puzzle Built on Simplicity

So we got rid of all those typical maze walls and stuff you usually see in puzzle games.

Instead of blocking you with complexity,
it challenges your ability to:

  • Think ahead

  • Minimize turns

  • Reduce segments

  • Plan efficiently

The board is open.
The tricky part? Every single decision you make actually matters.

Core Gameplay

  • 1

A traveler starts at a marked position.

  • 2

A destination is placed somewhere on the grid.

  • 3

You place route segments to create a connected path.

  • 4

The traveler follows your route automatically.

  • 5

Your score depends on how efficient your route is.

  • No timers.
    No randomness.
    Just gotta think it through.

Getting Really Good Means Getting Efficient

Each level evaluates:

  • Segment Count

    Fewer segments = higher rating.

  • Turn Reduction

    Straight lines are rewarded.

  • Route Symmetry

    Balanced paths increase efficiency bonuses.

  • Perfect Path

The mathematically shortest possible solution earns a “Master Route” badge.

Replay levels to reduce segment count and refine your design.

    Early Levels:

    • Short distances

    • Obvious shortest routes

    • Learning efficiency basics

    Mid Game:

    • Multiple travelers

    • Shared segments

    • Limited route placement

    Advanced:

    • Route intersection rules

    • One-way segments

    • Grid expansion

Minimal by Design

The plain feels open.
The paths you make give it some organization.

  • The grid looks pretty clean

  • Soft neutral palette

  • Subtle line animations

  • Calm movement speed

  • Clear geometric interface

Sound design:
Light footstep rhythm.
Soft line placement clicks.

“Figured this would be easy peasy when I started - totally wrong about that! Trying to make everything click together is harder than it looks. Reducing segments by just one can feel incredibly satisfying. It’s minimal but surprisingly deep.”

    -Elena P.

“It's strange - all that open space somehow makes choosing a path way more difficult. Too many choices, maybe? Too many options, maybe? You can’t blame the environment for mistakes — it’s all about your planning. That scoring system really makes you want to keep tweaking your routes.”

    -Daniel R.

  • S

“Love how clean it looks - really relaxing. I keep going back to old levels trying to make my routes better. It’s the kind of puzzle that rewards patience.”

    -Sofia M.

  • M

“Those levels with multiple travelers - now that's when it gets tricky. You've got to be super careful about those shared segments. There's definitely a system to figure out.”

    -Marcus L.

  • A

“I like that it doesn't mess around with random stuff. It doesn’t rely on gimmicks. Just clean routing and optimization.”

    -Aisha K.

  • T

“Who knew something that looks so simple could make my brain hurt this much? It’s all about precision and efficiency. You can tell the devs put serious work into this thing - everything feels really well thought out.”

    -Thomas W.
